Mexican Fan Palm (Washingtonia robusta)
A fast growing hardy palm that can reach heights above 100 feet at maturity with a canopy spread of 10 feet at most. They thrive in a wide variety of growing conditions and are prolific at reseeding. They tolerate root pruning and relocation. In urban areas they should typically be pruned on a 2-year cycle to remove the dead or dying fronds and the seed pods. This palm can be pruned at any time of the year.
